Emmerdale stars Danny Miller (Aaron Dingle) and the recently departed Adam Thomas (Adam Barton) will be taking on ITV2’s Release the Hounds. Joined by Love Island’s Scott Thomas, who is also Adam’s twin and the new ‘Adam Barton’ according to Emmerdale’s cheeky leaving video for Adam, the trio will go into to the woods to face their fears and attempt to win cash for charity.
In the second episode of the series, shown on ITV2 on Thursday 18th January at 9pm, they’ll encounter freaky children, a haunted ambulance and an art gallery from hell.
Host Matt Edmondson returns fresh from the Halloween special to preside over the award-winning ITV2, horror game-show Release the Hounds which launches in January 2018 with stars from I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, The Real Housewives of Cheshire and some top Olympic athletes as well as your favourite soap stars.
In each hour-long episode, the teams of three celebrities experience some of the scariest challenges ever shown on TV. As darkness falls the horror intensifies and they’ll encounter mental and physical trials aimed to truly push them to their limits.
After facing his fear of spiders in ITV’s I’m a Celebrity…Get me out of here, surely nothing can phase Adam Thomas, who took on the most Bush Tucker Trials in the show’s history – and collected the most stars for his trouble! However, tensions run high between the three as the trailer shows Adam saying: “Alright mate, you try doing it!”
The show also exploits the bond of the brothers as Adam shouts: “What have you done with my brother, Matt?”
Finally, they must try and escape with the charity cash but their exit is guarded by a pack of wild hounds. If they outrun the dogs they keep the money. If they get caught… we don’t hear from them again.
Release the Hounds: the Emmerdale edition airs on Thursday 18th Jan on ITV2 from 9-10pm. Expect screams and foul language!
