Emmerdale Cast in Panto! (Oh yes they are!)

It’s Pantomime season (oh no it’s not…oh yes it is!) so some of your favourite former Emmerdale stars will be taking to UK stages this Christmas as they become your favourite panto characters.

As the festive season is well and truly upon us, it means its pantomime time! We’ve been trying to find out where you can see former Emmerdale stars appearing this Christmas.

She’s a former star now but not for long, as Lisa Riley aka Mandy Dingle will make her Emmerdale return in the New Year. However, for now, you can find her in Beauty and the Beat at the New Cardiff Theatre alongside west end star Ben Richards and Welsh rugby player Gareth Thomas. Runs until 13th January 2019.

Talking of returning legends, after a brief spell in Emmerdale for ‘super soap week’, Kim Tate will be back in the dales in the Spring once actress Claire King has finished in panto at the Stockport Plaza. Claire stars as Carabosse – The Wicked Fairy in Sleeping Beauty until 6th January 2019, a role she will relish given how nasty Kim was to all the villagers.

Emmerdale News: See Emmerdale stars in Panto this Christmas (oh yes you can!)Rik Makarem, best known as the youngest Sharma brother, Nikhil, will be shaking off his nice guy image to turn evil as baddie Abanaza in Aladdin at Norwich Theatre Royal until 13th January 2019.

Rik said: “I’m absolutely over the moon to be playing Abanazar and I think playing the baddie is one of life’s greatest joys and as an actor you get licence to have a bit more fun because you’re pushing the boundaries to a place which is not normally you. I can’t wait to play him and with a baddie you can make bold choices vocally and physically and get to bounce off the audience.”

Playing a bad guy is nothing new for Jonathan Wrather, who was Emmerdale’s Pierce Harris. Also playing villainous Abanazer, Jonathan will appear in Aladdin at the Rhyl Pavilion until 5th January 2019.

Hayley Tamadon aka Delilah Dingle is also on the magic carpet to Aladdin, this time at the Palace Theatre, Newark, as Princess Jasmine until 31st December.

Former Emmerdale actress Gemma Oaten, best known as Rachel Breckle and more recently seen on BBC Holby City, is in the lead role of Belle in Beauty and the Beast at the Shaw Theatre, London. The panto runs until 30th December.

Emmerdale News: See Emmerdale stars in Panto this Christmas (oh yes you can!)Emmerdale legends Frazer Hines who played Joe Sugden and Stuart Wade aka Biff Fowler will also appear in Beauty And The Beast at Grimsby Auditorium alongside joins fellow soap star Neighbours’ Mark Little and 911 singer Lee Brennan until 29th December.

Suzanne Shaw who played Emmerdale temptress Eve Birch heads to the Mayflower Theatre in Southampton to play Alice in Dick Whittington until 6th January 2019 alongside Eastenders’ Steve McFadden, Joe McElderry, and Bobby Davro.

George Samson, who played snitch Ryan in Emmerdale,  stars with comedy legends Cannon & Ball at Crewe’s Lyceum Theatre in Jack and the Beanstalk. George plays Jack Trot  until 6th January 2019.

Being Emmerdale good guy Alex Moss didn’t do Kurtis Stacey any favours when he was killed by evil Cameron so now Kurtis is being bad as evil Captain Hook in Peter Pan at the Forum Theatre, Billingham, until 6th January 2019.

Former model turned actress Linda Lusardi, who appeared in Emmerdale as Carrie Nicholls, will be the Wicked Queen in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at Weston Super Mare’s Playhouse Theatre until 5th January 2019.
