Former Emmerdale actress Roxanne Pallett has left Celebrity Big Brother after accusing actor Ryan Thomas of being violent towards her, with no less than 21 of her former cast mates blasting their co-star.
Ex-Emmerdale star Roxanne Pallett, best known for playing Jo Sugden in the ITV soap, has left the Celebrity Big Brother house after making serious unfounded allegations of violence against fellow actor Ryan Thomas.
Roxanne, who had already been accused of ‘faking it’ by the other housemates, said that the former Coronation Street star had ‘punched her repeatedly in the ribs’ where in fact, video footage showed Ryan play fighting with her, only making contact once by accident.
When Roxanne responded that he’d hurt her, Ryan immediately apologised and the house continued with its day – until Roxanne went into the diary room and made a formal complaint to the producers where she grossly exaggerated the incident and said she wanted Ryan removed. She even went so far as to request that she slept in a different room to the other housemates as she didn’t feel safe sharing with Ryan.
As viewers saw the footage and the distress being caused by Roxanne’s allegations, more than 21 of Roxanne’s former Emmerdale cast mates have blasted the actress for her ‘lies and calculated behaviour’ and given their full support to Ryan, brother of former Emmerdale star Adam Thomas.
Kelvin Fletcher, who played her on-screen husband Andy Sugden, posted on his Twitter account: “She. Is. Evil. #CBB. She’s not ‘mentally ill’ or in need of ‘help’. That denounces that people with actual mental health issues are as vindictive and menacing as her. They are not. There is a big difference. That was calculated and manipulative beyond belief. Ryan ❤️.”
Actress Sammy Winward, who played Andy Sugden’s wife Katie, was more cryptic with her tweets, posting: “This makes my blood boil but I hate to say I am not surprised at all!”
Charley Webb, who plays Debbie Dingle, added: “It’s worrying that someone is allowed to say that about someone and they’re taking it seriously. We’ve just watched it and nothing happened. Outrageous. #BB.
“Apparently Roxanne has left the house through the back door. Thank god, for her sake and everyone else’s. Never seen anything like it-dangerous doesn’t even cut it.”
Lucy Pargeter (Chas Dingle), Chris Bisson (Jai Sharma), Verity Rushworth (Donna Windsor-Dingle), Mathew Bose (Paul Lambert), and Hayley Tamaddon (Delilah Dingle), all posted support of Ryan too while blasting their former colleague.
Adele Silva, who played Kelly Windsor, said: “Sometimes it takes a long long time to wait for karma or to see what someone’s really capable of – unfortunately good people get caught up in it…’
As the other housemates became aware of the situation with Big Brother strategically explaining that the appropriate action had been taken and there was a reason Ryan was still in the house.
The final straw came when Roxanne heard the public at the live audition chanting ‘Get Roxy Out’ as the next eviction took place. A few hours later, Roxanne was seen in the diary room asking to leave.
Ryan was then seen in the diary room, distraught at the ordeal he’d been through and relieved that he hadn’t let his family and friends down.
Roxanne will be interviewed on the Jeremy Vine Show as well as by Emma Willis on the next Celebrity Big Brother Live Eviction on Monday 3rd September (so expect to hear more lies in order to gain airtime…)
