Actor Andrew Scarborough is the latest in what’s becoming a long list of big characters leaving Emmerdale. He is about to film his final scenes as Graham Foster in the coming weeks, the Daily Star Sunday has reported, departing early next year. But is he being killed off?

Bosses have spent months plotting Andrew’s storyline after it was decided that he would leave at the end of his current contract, have been in Emmerdale for two years.

An Emmerdale source told the Daily Star Sunday: “Andrew’s been a great addition to the cast and has been involved in some of Emmerdale’s biggest storylines since he arrived in the village in 2017. So he was never going to leave in the back of a taxi.

“His exit will be huge and will kick-start a drama-filled and action-packed year in the Dales.”

Kim Tate faces off with Graham Foster

With Graham having turned on-off lover Kim Tate (Claire King) into an enemy, not to mention her son Jamie and his wife Andrea, could this be the next Emmerdale ‘whodunit’ as Graham is killed off? It’s looking likely!

Jealous of Graham’s new relationship with Rhona Goskirk (Zoe Henry), Kim vowed revenge as Graham revealed her son Jamie (Alexander Lincoln) was responsible for her going to prison.

Speaking to new business partner Al Chapman (Michael Wildman), Kim threatened: “If Graham has any sense he’ll run and run fast. Because every mistake he’s ever made is about to catch up with him.”

But what Kim or new girlfriend Rhona don’t know is that Graham could be the biological father of Andrea Tate’s daughter Millie. The pair had a secret one-night stand when Graham was paying Andrea to secretly spy on Jamie and now Graham is convinced he’s Millie’s dad as she was born nine months later. Andrea (Anna Nightingale) is desperate to keep Graham quiet and will do anything to protect her family. Could she murder Graham to make sure they don’t find out?

Graham Foster arrived in Emmerdale with Joe Tate, then known as Tom Waterhouse (Ned Porteous). A man of few words, Graham was soon to be revealed as a very capable man, ex-SAS soldier, who had a heart behind his stern exterior. He came to the aid of the Dingles when Joe bulldozed their house and was first on the scene when Ross Barton had acid thrown in his face.

But he was also troubled too. An alcoholic, Graham’s fallen off the wagon a few times, especially around the anniversary of the death of his wife and unborn child. Told in chilling flashbacks, Emmerdale revealed that Graham had been drunk behind the wheel and caused the accident that killed them.

Andrew Scarborough, who has also appeared in Downton Abbey, Hearts and Bones, and Bad Girls, joins what is becoming a long list of names leaving Emmerdale. Viewers have just seen Ryan Hawley (Robert Sugden) make his final appearance on screen, while Samantha Giles (Bernice Blackstock) and Anthony Quinlan (Pete Barton) are both leaving in the near future too.

How will they depart the Dales? Stay tuned to Emmerdale to find out!
