Emmerdale’s Chas Dingle in C4 Documentary
Emmerdale actress Lucy Pargeter reveals she has had her breast implants removed in the Channel 4 current affairs programme Dispatches.
Lucy Pargeter, who plays Emmerdale landlady Chas Dingle, has shared her frustrations and warnings over the danger of breast implants after suffering breathing problems for 11 years due to her ‘toxic bags’.
She explains how her DD enhanced boobs caused her to have numerous health issues for 11 years. Lucy revealed she ‘couldn’t wait’ to get them out of her body.
Speaking to The Sun, she said: “They are out. I’m as flat as a pancake, I look awful but feel good. When I woke up in recovery, the first thing I did was panic because I could breathe – I could take in a massive breath.
“I thought they were trying to give me too much oxygen – I panicked. I forgot what it was like to have a full lung of air. I mean, it’s amazing – I can breathe.”
She shared a before and after video diary for the show, where she described her implants as ‘toxic bags’ and wondered what she was going to look like after the procedure.
Lucy then told how the removal surgery went ‘absolutely fine’, though described her implants as ‘quite deformed’ and ‘encapsulated’.
She went on to say that she feels things are going to be ‘much better’ going forward, having listed joint pain, rashes on her chest, anxiety and pain in her chest and armpits among her previous symptoms.
Lucy, who won Best Actress at this year’s British Soap Awards, had her first boob job aged 21, followed by a second at 32 and revealed the reason behind them was ‘that old thing called vanity.’
Watch Lucy Pargeter share her journey on Channel 4’s Dispatches tonight (Monday 24th June) at 8pm as the programme looks at Britain’s Breast Implant Scandal.
